HL Studios 20 years of design,
illustration and development
For over 20 years HL Studios have been supplying page design, illustration and related services to publishers large and small. From the old days of ‘cut and paste’ page composition to digital layout within Quark and InDesign, we have built up an unrivalled understanding of our customers’ needs. Our range of experience now includes interactive books, websites and CD-ROMs and continues to develop to embrace emerging technologies.
We can create a concept design from your original project brief, or take an established series style, and see it through to press-ready PDFs or other specified medium.
We cover all subject areas, at all levels within education, from pre-school to university. Although we are well-established in Educational publishing, we also work with the Trade sector and produce titles as wide ranging as Children’s Dinosaur Encyclopaedias to a history of ITN News coverage.
We pride ourselves on the speed, accuracy and creative talents of our illustrators and design team. Having an in-house illustration team ensures effective communication between illustrator and designer and makes all processes as efficient as possible.
Our dedicated Project Management team, who will oversee your project efficiently, will ensure it is delivered to your timescales and within your budget. We do, however, encourage direct communication between designer, illustrator and client to ensure the best working relationship and a successful final outcome.
We have our own established in-house file management and archiving system, but are used to complying with our clients’ file structure specifications.
