This book was published in different languages for sale around the world. Our client’s requirements were that every edition of the project had all features, images and artwork in the same place throughout the book, ensuring each edition looked exactly the same. We created all design features, illustrations and maps and positioned them on the basic layout. For each language edition we then flowed the body text around them. In excess of 100 maps had to be relabelled appropriately. All editions were created within one InDesign document with linked Illustrator files. Each edition had the language text and labels on a separate layer. These were then exported to press-ready PDF files to the printer’s specifications to ensure easy and faultless reproduction. |
